Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Butch at butch.pro (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Butch is a business management platform for custom meat processors, butcher shops, and wild game processors. The Service enables shop staff to manage order lifecycles, cut sheet preferences, inventory, invoicing, and customer communications. Customers may also use the Service to place and track orders through a self-service portal.

SMS Messaging Program

Program Name: Butch Order Notifications

Program Description: Butch Order Notifications is operated by Butch. It sends transactional text messages to customers about their own orders with butcher shops that use Butch: order-ready notices, pickup confirmations, cut sheet requests, and appointment reminders. Messages may include a link to the customer’s order page on butch.pro. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.

Consent: Customers give consent directly to Butch. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. Customers opt in by checking the separate, unchecked-by-default text-notification checkbox while providing or updating their phone number, or by telling shop staff in person that they agree, after which staff check the box. A customer may decline SMS and still use the Service. Butch records the consent time and source. How opt-in works is shown at butch.pro/sms-opt-in.html.

Message Frequency: Message frequency varies. You will receive messages only when there is activity on your orders or appointments. Typical customers receive 1–5 messages per order.

Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.

Opt-Out: To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.

Carriers: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to secure your credentials.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; or transmit content that is harmful, fraudulent, or violates third-party rights.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Butch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
