Butch (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates butch.pro, a business management platform for custom meat processors and butcher shops. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information provided by shop staff, shop owners, and customers.

• Name, email address, and phone number when creating an account or placing an order
• Business information for shop owners, including shop name, address, and contact details
• Order details, cut sheet preferences, and processing instructions
• Payment status information; we do not store full payment card numbers
• SMS opt-in consent and communication preferences

We also collect standard server log data, including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, and use cookies for session management.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to provide and operate the Butch platform; send order status notifications and invoices by email and SMS; process appointments and manage order lifecycles; respond to support requests; and improve and maintain our services.

SMS Messaging (Butch Order Notifications)

Butch operates the SMS program Butch Order Notifications. When you provide your mobile number and check the separate, unchecked-by-default text-notification box (or tell shop staff in person that you agree), you give your consent directly to Butch to send you transactional text messages about your own orders: order-ready notices, pickup confirmations, cut sheet requests, and appointment reminders, which may include a link to your order page on butch.pro. Butch does not send marketing or promotional texts. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. We record the time and source of consent. Message frequency varies based on your order activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented, transferred, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share other personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

• With service providers who assist us in operating the platform, such as email delivery, SMS delivery, and error tracking, under strict confidentiality agreements; they may use information only to provide those services, not for their own marketing
• When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to affected users

All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
